|
|
Do you think its possible to create a hack in cheat engine that creates X number of "Intra-frames", that is frames in between the games default as a Cheat engine hack for Slo Motion.
For example, Instead of just slowing down a game (like Doom3 for instance) by changing the framerate/speed a game runs on the CPU.
The games default render output feeds into a script that inserts "Intra-Frames" then outputs it to the graphics card maybe.
This is probably I would assume not something that could be made in ASM. But you probably know better than me whether its possible or not, so I would not want to be the one to say.
Games have never really been able to do detailed beautifull slow motion, of the like you will get with a good quality high-speed camera. (Balloon popping etc etc)

have you tried a speedhack speed of 0.01 ? (A slower time will make the game think a lot less time has happened since last frame, so it can put 1000 frames up to make up 1 second)
In unreal engine based games it does do a good detailed slow motion and you can see how objects travel/fall slower
Just make sure that you disable gay options in the game like max fps etc...

I have, yes Dark Byte.
I tried that very same speed, 0.01.
And the Framerate dropped to 6 fps, I am not sure the (now old) doom 3 engine is quite as adept at filling in the extra frames as the much newer UT3 engine is able to.
But there might be a console command I don't know, If I remember rightly, there is one well documented Frame rate command. But I cant remember what it was or what context I had found said command though.

Typically fps commands for console games are something on the lines of:
fps
fps_max
max_fps

I tried com_tick or something along those lines.
But all that did was put the game in slow-mo when I was facing something CPU taxing, and sped-up when i was facing something CPU easy...
