also, just one thing: Does changing these things have an actual effect in the game ?(besides visual) Usually what you describe means that the value got updated with the real value that isn't stored on your computer

Yes, they produce real effects in the game.
And yes the code, has been updating the game so the use of "??", could pass me a link where you have some function (Lua script) that I can use?
Or a timer.
