Hello, new to the forum.
I'm using cheat engine to search for addresses for development purposes (making a network enabled trainer for TES4-Oblivion in an attempt to create multiplayer for the game).
Now, here is my problem: values with the "active" checkbox checked don't seem to actually remain in place.
I'm running a dual boot configuration between XP 32 bit and Vista 64 bit.

If it's a value stored on the host of the network version(With tes I doubt it and just be a p2p but anyhow) then you're correct, you can not freeze it in a client.
Otherwise it might be because you have found the temporary visual value only
e.g perhaps you scanned using 4 byte and it's actually stored as float. The 4 byte is just a temporary calculation value. One way to find out if it's real or temp is actually changing the value and check in the game. If it changes back, it was just a temp _________________
