I asked this a little while back, but just want to get a few more opinions or confirmations.
Do I get:
A new Processor? Current: Intel E2220
A new Mobo? Current: OEM HP with locked bios(read: no overclocking)
A new graphics card? Current: Gigabyte 1gb 4850 Want: XFX 6850
budget will be 160 bucks or lower.
And no(OMG U NEEDZ 12 COARS CPUZ) a dual core with a higher clock would be perfectly acceptable, or simply an oc able mobo. I hear e2220s can get 3.2ghz+

Definitely a new mobo & cpu combo - that GPU is an assload better than your mobo/proc now and is still damn decent for it's age. I'm using a 4850, I run shit on high @ 1920x1080.

Why, a new processor and mobo isn't a valid upgrade?
Just so errone knows from now on in this thread. I'm not an enthusiast gamer, 3d modeler, or bitcoin miner. I don't need to have 200fps in a game, ~30 is good enough for me. I don't need a six core processor to do video encoding and scene rendering, I don't need a motherboard with 2 PCIx16 slots because I won't be xfiring anytime soon.
I think an instant .8ghz increase in proc speed with that cpu, plus the option to overclock it down the line is perfectly justifiable. Later I'll add on a new graphics card, but I am in need of a better proc and unrestricted mobo.
That wasn't directed at you hero, just a note for anyone reading after this.
