I hate him because he looks like a douche bag and makes bad music. Why would you want to like anyone like that?
I dont really hate him but thats why i dislike him as an artist and a person, i just dont enjoy his music

He's the most famous artist of dubstep, just because deadmau5 helped him, without deadmau5' interest in him, he would not be where he is today, at all. You know he practically taught him everything he knows about electronic music, and its sad.

he is ugly and half his music is just playing around, but I really liked Drop Dead. |
Drop Dead is pretty cool. I kinda like him, kinda don't. Mixed feelings. But w/e.

It's just a hating the mainstream kind of thing.
Depending on where you are (irl vs internet) will change how much it actually matters. Internet badasses will never listen to an artist that has *gasp* more than 20 listeners, but I'm sure most of your irl friends don't give 2 shits as long as the music's good.

i dont think its that way for most people, a lot just don't like his music because they like older dubstep that stays true to the genres origins, and skrillex is doing something different that IS a different genre, but they still call it dubstep. its not anger at the artist but anger at the ignorant fans. I dont hate every artist ive never heard or dont listen to.
also irl im hipster as fuck and no one knows what i listen to when i tell people, people on the internet actually know more of the music than people irl so you have it backwards, maybe some people are pussys and will say they enjoy everything so they are loved by peers

dislike is different than hate. he doesn't produce dubstep. you disliking dubstep doesn't mean you hate someone that makes music of a different genre.

Electronic origin music + Mainstream doesn't do well...
I mean like they should be played at underground clubs, not fucking mainstream dances.
