I am attempting to create a program that I can run in a second monitor while I play FPS games. I've been using Borderlands as my guinea pig and have been pretty successful with finding information about ammo, experience, health and achievements. i am currently missing one key thing. The player location and the direction they are facing. This is the thing I want most because I want to display a map with the player and possibly enemy locations.
Does anyone know how the location is stored in most games?
I have tried standing still and searching for unknown value, then moving looking for changed value, standing still looking for unchanged value and doing this over and over until I have it narrowed down to about 30 values. Unfortunately none of those values follow a pattern that makes sense for location (move away in a straight line and the value doesn't go up or down but varies a lot).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

and you have set the value type the the most common value type for coordinates? (float)

Couldn't you also use All? Or would that be too slow?
