but it saids it doesnt support iphone 3g. so was just wondering if anyone could help.

Try Google Search for iPhone 3G Jailbreak Wink That was the way I found a tutorial/link for my Jailbreak.

I have a jail broken iPhone 3g

First you need the modified firmwear:
Code:
1. go to http://tipsneeded.com/download-ios-42-ipsw/#

2. Select "iPhone 3G"

3. Download the file, save it on your desktop


Next you need to download redsn0w:
Code:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13474497/redsn0w.exe




Follow the on screen instructions in redsn0w

EDIT: if you have the latest firmwear, you can only temporally hack it
