Can anyone recommend me a long lasting and high performence portable hard drive with approximately 500GB - 1TB storage?
I found this to be neat: HP 1TB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive Model WDBACZ0010BBK-
Get a western digital. I've had one of their 2TB models for over a year now with no problems at all - and with that price range... you'd be able to get 2TB or more. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136748 is the one I have. I bought it then, so it cost me $160 and I got it from walmart rather than Newegg. _________________
I have 2 of 2TB western digital too, different from the one SF linked but WD has good quality stuff. Did not have any problems with any of em so far. You can get 3TB for $119.99 on amazon(it's 129$ on newegg lolz) buts its also USB 2.0 not 3.0 so you might wanna pick SF's but i use it for storage so speed does not matter to me in this case but the space. _________________
I have a WD MyPassport Essential 1TB.
It's a bit slower than the desktop models because it relies on usb as the power source instead of plugging into a wall, but it's still faster than any other external I've ever used, and it's usb 3.
It was $80 at costco like a month ago.
