i dropped my netbook. it fell from a couch onto hardwood floor. when i turned it on its stuck on bios and gives an error. more specifically:
Check cable connection!
PXE-E63: Error while initalizing the NIC
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
also emits consistent low beeping noise. is my hdd totally screwed or can it be a loose cable?
i have an acer aspire one nb and the HDD and Ram are easily accessible, just unscrew the back panel. You can check the hdd cables easily. _________________
k opened up my netbook, turns out the sound coming from the HDD was the disk attempting to spin. failed to work after installing it in my desktop, so i gave it a (hard) tap. decided that it was dead.
