pass or not doesn't really matter. everyone looks at a certain grade as a pass in their head. even if you 'officially' passed nobody gives a fuck.

i'll give you an example. employers usually look at degree honours as upper second or above. even though a third and a lower second are actually a pass, you're severely disadvantaged if you get either.

pass grade is different in different systems. a D isn't a fail everywhere. for example at university. in fact even in the british education system i believe only grades below E are fail. not sure though. you'd have to ask people like dalton and tyler who are more familiar with this level
