ergonomics wont really help you with learning to type faster
most standard keyboards arent ergo so you're better off with daskeyboard

I love my Logitech dinovo edge. I would highly recommend it. I can;t post links yet but you can just google it.
It's super low profile, Bluetooth, internal rechargeable batteries. Probably teh best keyboard I have ever owned.
My wife got it for me for my birthday last year. Once you get used to the low profile soft touch keys you will never go back. =p

I always wanted to know, what is the meaning of low profile keys?

They keys don't stick up from the keyboard like large clunky keyboards. The tops of the keys are closer to the surface of the keyboard and the keyboards are usually thinner.
Much easier on the wrists in my opinion.

It will be much harder for me to shift to low profile keys.. coz i am very much used to of large clunky keyboards.
Are you sure that it will be helpful ?

I have never had typing course so my hands move around the keyboard a lot. It's much easier in my opinion but it takes some getting used to but once you do I think your speed does go up a little bit. It's just so much smoother and more natural. I can type about 60 words a minutes and can even type without looking at the keyboard except on occasion but I think it's just because I have been using one for 20+ years.
To each their own though, I was using the old IBM keyboards 20 years ago. Man has technology come a long way.
I would recommend going by a retail chain and trying a few out. I think teh ergonomic keyboards are total crap though. It's just a gimmick.

I have a MS 4000 both at work and home, I love them. If not the MS4000 then any ergo split keyboard. I personally love the rise in the middle of the keyboard feels more natural to type for extended periods.

Good. Now I am really confused. Both are good.

It's personal preference really. I would try some out at retail.
Also with the "ergo" watch your typing go to crap after a while on any non "ergo" keyboards. The "ergo" fad went out of style years ago. I think Microsoft is one of the few companies that still make them and their hardware is total junk. Be prepared to replace it every year unless you barely use it.

Just get any keyboard - even a cheap $10 one from a local store. You don't need a fancy keyboard to type.
