Some background:
My co-workers and I like to play halo 2 at work on our scheduled break, I call it the "3 o'clock halo throwdown". Anyways, We all use widescreen monitors, and i'm a native PC gamer, so the FOV in this game literally makes me sick, I feel as if its always zoomed in, just ever slightly. I guess the FOV is something like 70 degrees, should be more like 90 or greater. I found the place in memory that stores the floating point value for what I assume is the aspect ratio? but I cant directly edit it because the place in memory changes every time a new map loads or the game is restarted. I did find a concrete address that does read from this stored value though, presented here below.

Code:
halo2.exe+906B3 - D9 80 CC000000 - fld dword ptr [eax+000000CC]

This line reads from this point in memory, which is ALMOST always the same address "312620FC" but only the first 2 bytes ever change, the offset is E620FC. It stores the following value: 3F9C61AA which is a floating point value of 1.2217304706573486. This is the value I want, 3FCCCCCD which is 1.6000000238418579.

EDIT:
This is what writes the float into memory:
Code:
halo2.exe+28FFE6 - 66 0F7F 47 70 - movdqa [edi+70],xmm0

Is there a way I can change the code that reads from the stored value, to read what I want, or a way I can figure out how to calculate the place in memory its stored and directly edit that value? Thank you for your time and patience.

I'm assuming i'm not getting any replies because this is a multiplayer game? I have at least stated my intentions up front, and if I really wanted to hack my health or ammo, I could. I believe in fair play, and a FOV of 70 degrees just isn't fair. When you try to beat someone down, its almost as if you are inside of the other player, that' how bad it is... Thanks again for anyone who can provide any type of insight.
