| I also wanted to know if a 3.0 GHz E57000 intel core 2 duo computer with an intel X4500 graphics accelerator(on board graphics card) would make for a decent gaming PC?, it would that need to be switched out for at least a Nvidia?

You couldn't really run any 3d games with that, but terraria would work fine.
Must haves:
TF2
And that's about it, everything else depends on your preference.

Vouching.
I thought it was going to be shit when I bought it. Within a week I had over 60 hours played time and I'm still enjoying it immensely. Patches come out frequently which adds a lot of content.

I knew I would enjoy it after watching 3 different review/play through but some dislikes about the game I did not agree with. I think it has replay ability, some might not like replaying it but if you keep a pickaxe when you make a new character its enjoyable. some disliked how the game progressed but that was before the patch where you needed a nightmare pickaxe to mine the hellstone. I played a tiny bit when you could use a gold pickaxe to mine anything and yeah you could skip some content but once the patch was released I just started again to play it properly
