|
|
For my 25th post I thought I'd introduce some interesting conversation topics I've thought up but not had a chance to discuss with anyone!
Topic:
1. Colors - Is my green your blue? Of course we would both identify the color correctly, because we've seen it the same way our entire lives, but how do we know the human brain interprets colors the same for each person?
2. Sixth Sense - We've all felt when something really terrible or really amazing is going to happen, call it foresight. Is this a real sense? Is it dying or just starting to develop?
Hope you guys find these interesting, as I certainly do.

1. Quite simple to to support that we see colours the same.
i. Structure of the eye
ii. The way they blend. You would not see my red as blue because it doesnt really blend with green.
iii. Physics.
2. We have like 20 senses. And no, forsight does not exists (Never been reliable and objectively measured).

This.
You may also want to look at this

Scroll down to classification and look at the pictures. It shows you what people with different types of colour blindness see. Pretty interesting, at least I think it is.

Yes....
I heard that insects/birds use spectrums not visible to our one to find nice and attractive plants. Same with plants too, only they produce them.

You can with infrared cameras and ultra violet cameras.
And as +=Marvin=+ said, plain looking flowers can actually be really colourful but it's ultraviolet.
