going to give it a shot for this deviant art contest.
I think I'm going to use mostly Zbrush. maybe 3Dsmax for some hard structure things on the monster.

I'm going to pretty much combine a stone golem with an ogre with the eath rift concept yellow crystals.
Also I got tonz of reference to look at :3 finally not wanting to trow out my Magic the gathering cards paid of.

of course, going to start srsly after I finish my mid term exams x.x

Give him face tentacles. Also, the back should be arched forward more. And maybe make the feet a little less... weighty. Here's a little sketch as representation. Disproportionate because I didn't have enough room on the paper to make the legs fit, but that isn't important. Now that I look at it though, mine looks a bit too "fishy" for an Earth Colossus.
It's all just opinionated though, you've got a great design already.
