yep. my first attempt at free-hand pixel. I can recolor sprites and battlers for RPG maker VX & XP quite well. Otherwise, me = fail. Since it wont let me post URLs yet, i have to put it down there.

You know you could also use Gimp2 to make better drawings...
You should use that drawing as an avatar.

Recoloring sprites is nothing because all of the work has already been done. You should really look at some pixel art tutorials. I didn't make the sprite below without any tutorials.
(Yes, I am now shamelessly show off my work)
And this was done mostly in paint.net. However, Paint is an extremely effective program to use for pixel art, so don't badmouth it.

Seph was the one who told me I would get flamed since I used paint. So, to prevent it, I said that. I use it for most of my pixel art still, though. THe grid makes things easier to do. And it let's me touch things up to make it more smooth. The drawing up top isn't the final. More of an outline.

I've never seen Seph post any pixel art here ;) . One thing I'll suggest is that you shouldn't use aliased circle tools and curve tools (on paint or anything else) despite the fact that it might still look like pixel art. Even if the thing you're making is supposed to be round, you can make a much cleaner circle or curve by hand than what the tool will give you.

| Okay, I'll try that, see how much better it comes out as an actual attempt at doing something half-way decent. I personally find paint an easier software to use than most others.

My favorite very powerful programs are gimp, adobe photo-shop and you can make some very cool stuff like making a moving pixelated person. Try using adobe photoshop its the best.
