For the past week I've been modding the game Roblox to get secure functions to work for localscripts.

Today, Roblox released an update and removed a referenced string that I used to find the correct jump to patch.

I sadly have no experience in anything other than jump patching, and I can no longer find the method they use to block functions from scripts with a lower security context. The scripting language is Lua.

The old error was:
s %s -> s Function is locked

The new error, for which I cannot find a string for is:
Unknown exception

How can I find and patch this error to allow unrestricted use of secure functions from within non-privileged scripts? As a last resort I might just go through and check all references to _CxxThrowException to see if I can locate the error.
