Oh Shit, is Dat Sum?.. The fuck is this game?
The Monster Hunter (モンスターハンター Monsutā Hantā?) franchise is a series of fantasy console video games that started with the game Monster Hunter for PlayStation 2. The series is developed and published by Capcom. The game consists of the player takes the role of a hunter in a fantasy environment and completes quests by seeking out monsters to hunt or capture.
In Japan, the Monster Hunter series is immensely popular, with the port Monster Hunter Freedom (known in Japan as "Monster Hunter Portable") and its sequels, Monster Hunter Freedom 2/Monster Hunter Portable 2 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite/Monster Hunter Portable 2G selling millions of copies, and Monster Hunter Tri becoming the highest-selling third-party Wii game in Japan.
3rd console game of the series, this game boasts the 3rd highest sold Wii game, hosting a score of 84% on Metacritic, with 110,897 copies sold in the first week of sale.
Ok, what the fuck do i do in this game? FIGHT SOME FUCKING HUGE DRAGONS (wyverns.)
There are 7 different types of weapons to choose from ingame, varying from the extremely slow, but hard hitting Great Sword, to the easy to use, difficult to master Bowgun. MH3 introduces 2 new weapons to the series, the Switch Axe and Long Sword.
Cool looking game, but I'd rather play an online game with my buddies.
Well it's all cool then, because MH3 supports online play, without the Wii friend code request bullshit, just make a character and join a city! You can also use your offline character online, and visa versa, no need to play the game twice! The game boasts one of the only Wii games to have a lobbying system, even more, it even supports USB keyboards and VoIP with Wiispeak (too bad it sucks.)
While both of the offline and online quests are shared, offline mode gives you access to certain feature of avaible online, like a player run farm, and the mysterious ChaCha buddy, while online mode gives you new dragons to kill, like Agnaktor and Jhen Mohran.
Hunter Rank? The fuck is this?
Hunter Rank is sorta your "level" in game, gained by playing online while doing quests, usually kill up the big monsters. HR 1-30 is considered low rank, consisting usually of your first run threw of the game, and you cannot join higher ranked cities, and 31-999 (never seen anyone above 120) for High Rank, consisting of player farming for monster parts for new armour/weapons, and looking for groups to kill the harder dragons.
Baller looking game, were do i get it?
MH3 is sold pretty much anywhere being a popular wii game, about 30 bux at Gamestop, cheaper used.
Of course, if you're not retarded, you can also pirate the game, as pirated games on the Wii will work online, and you can't get banned unless you start cheating around.
Wii game, so like, wiimote + nunchuck?
Yea it sucks, get a classic controller and the control scheme isn't poop.
Hey, I'm autistic and need some cool video to convince me to buy/steal this game.
I love this game, we should all play together!
Good idea!
