Basic questions?
His thread is about sharing the knowledge of a freeware version of Photoshop. The poll isn't the main part, his post is.
While I'm sure almost everyone interested in Photoshop or Digital Art already knows about the free alternatives to Photoshop, like Gimp, I still think it's nice to have it posted here.
Although, we should maybe collect it for a sticky in the Art section, and provide more useful tools for Art.

Gimp is not bad for a free photo studio suite. I love some features of gimp and I hate it at the same time. Having used both there are things in Gimp that should be as intuitive as they are in Photoshop but they aren't and then there are filters and tools in Gimp that aren't in Photoshop and they give stunning results. I actually tend to use both for these reasons.

If he is to assume we don't know what "photoshop" is, then why...
If we are to look for a photoshop alternative, I'd recommend at least GIMPshop for the purpose of this thread.
