There are rumors he's getting cancer treatment, which may very well be true since he's on a vacation/medical leave because of personal health reasons.

I don't know why one should be happy about someone's death especially when you don't have anything to do with him.

Unless he's your enemy, in which case, yeah celebrate.

I don't know about steve jobs but if a human is suffering from cancer or another disease and is in so bad condition, he is expected to die soon, well then thats a bad and a sad news.

Ideas of 2011, will usually not to be proven useful in lets say 2014. The world is constantly changing technology wise. In 2005, nobody expected the idea of a "Tablet" to be successful. Eventually ideas will be outdated, either by what's "in", or outdated technology.

After the release of the Macintosh, Steve Jobs left. Apple's financial state dropped faster than a rock falling out of a plane. The products weren't beating their only competition at the time: Microsoft. Steve jobs returned in the late 90's and came back with something new. The MacBook. Ever since he came back, Apple began to rise again. In 2003, he released the iPod. It was a big success. After the windows version of iTunes, the iPod got way more popular.

The period when he was gone, apple was only chasing Microsoft, by only selling desktops. Steve Jobs always had a different approach at technology. Steve Jobs made Apple stand out from Microsoft or any other company by creating their competition, by making and executing his own ideas.
