Ok, i'm not much of a computer geek but could someone please answer the following questions for as i have a need to upgrade my computer's RAM:
1. Will PC3200 work on my machine, i currently have PC2100.
2. If i combine both pc2100 and 3200, what would happen, would it work (Both are DDR)?
If you require more information, i am glad to show it.
Specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon XP Processor 2200 (1.8 Ghz)
Memory: 256mb PC2100 DDR (replacing 256mb with 1 module, 1gig.)
Harddrive: 40gig.
Graphics: Integrated, 32mb
Operating System: Windows XP
Those are the current specs of my computer. Sucks doesn't it?
P.S. You could also recommend me what RAM to buy

We need your motherboard info, or if the PC was pre-built then the model of the PC will do.

In my area, it's about $90.
I'm not too sure about newegg though, never bought something online.
Hmmm...
Could my motherboard run PC3200?
If not, i'll ask the local computer component shop here in my area if he has PC2100s.

Seems like this one is not supporting PC3200. The max memory is 2x1GB PC2100 ram.
EDIT:
The slot is the same so I have no clue what happens if You try it. Maybe it will work with the speed of 2100 or it will just not work at all. I have never tried to use unsupported memory in any motherboard.[/b]

If you use unsupported speed in a ddr1 mobo it will not boot.
Stay within the given specifications to prevent RMAing items.

Yeah,
But i'll look for some cheaper ones here. Like pre-owned ones (One problem is, that they sometimes are faulty).
EDIT:
My friend's going back to china and he told me that he'd buy some PC components. I asked him if he could buy me some and and said yes.
Once problem is, i don't know what graphics card to buy. I don't know whether graphics cards have specific system specs.
