I saw this on digg. Video is too gross for me to watch, but I'm guessing this is based off of stem cells right? There's not really any other way this could be possible. And if so... well, this is old. Because with stem cells, we can grow more than just skin... I'm talking about organs, tissue, entire body parts... we have the technology, we just don't have the permission because embryonic stem cell research is banned.
This looks straight out of a sci-fi flick, but thanks to the scientists working on it, the skin-gun is now a real, functional acne medications device. The gadget uses a mix of the burn victim’s stem cells from healthy part of their skin and a special solution as its paint and literally sprays skin cells onto the injured part to re-grow the skin. Unlike conventional methods such as skin grafting that takes much longer time to heal, the skin gun, which has been successfully tested on burn victims, heals in days.
Nice.
So for example, if i had a burn on my left arm, they would just treat it with the skin gun, right?
But do you think the skin gun would actually cost high amount of money since it heals the burnt skin in just days? _________________
A biopsy is taken from undamaged skin, healthy stem cells are separated, put into the gun, and then sprayed onto the wound. After that, the wound is covered with electrolytes, antibiotics, amino acids, and glucose.
This is the miracle of stem cells. It was all explained very well in a certain episode of south park.
