|
|
Hi DB,
Here are my findings:
- When you double-click on a result of a "Find assembly code", the assembly windows in the Memory Viewer shows a different address.
- memrec_isFrozen(te) is not recognized
- memrec_isActive(te) is not working. It always returns te.
- Hex check box unckecking behavior:
1) Check the hex box
2) Enter an hex address
3) Turn on fast scan
At this point, the hex box is unchecked and the value you have entered remains the same (in hex). If you check the hex box again it, then changes the value to zeroes or to another hex value.
This also happens when you choose a new scan.
- When you open a process using openProcess(processid) the process name is not displayed above the progress bar.
- memrec_xxx_activated(te) is called even when there is an assert error loading a script and the frozen box remains unfrozen.
That's it for now.
Cheers!

I made this (link). I have the same problem.
memrec_xxx_activated(te) is called even when we aren't attached to the process.

Hi DB,
Please add this to the list:
4) In the the disassembler window:
movss [memory],xmmX --> disassembled correctly
movss xmmX,[memory] --> disassembled as MOVSD
Note: The tip for the instruction shows up ok (Move scalar single-fp)
Cheers!

Hi DB,
Here is another:
5) Text Unicode is not working on the table entries.
There are some issues on the Dissect area. I will run a regression on that section and report the results later.
Cheers!

The unicode text issue is known, but DB has said a few times now that he can't fix it because he doesn't have the issue everyone is getting with it. Best bet would be to load up the source and see if you can determine where the issue is on your end to help fix it.

well, the addresslist unicode thing is different from the scanning and saving/reloading of normal strings using unsupported (non ascii) UTF8 sequences
This looks like an issue with writing the string

Hi,
Having worked with SW testing, I would say that I'd rather have a lot of duplicated issues than an escaped defect.
Well, the issue is simple to reproduce. Just try to change an ASCII text entry to Unicode or vice-versa. It can be reproduced in XP SP3 32bits and Win7 64bits.
Is there any other issue that I have reported that cannot be reproduced?
Cheers!

thanks, this was another issue than the unicode support for languages with non ascii characters
It's already been fixed (in the svn and in the first alpha of 6.1)

If this is for future fixes/features in Cheat Engine, i might as well contribute a small thing that bothered me.
Update the default commonmodulelist.txt, now that CE uses different versions of old DLLs and new ones. So add
allochook-x86_64.dll
allochook-i386.dll
speedhack-i386.dll
speedhack-x86_64.dll
vehdebug-i386.dll
vehdebug-x86_64.dll
I've updated mine by now, but it threw me off when i searched for some static addresses and found them in module vehdebug-i386.dll at first. And give us an option to hide the CheatEngine executables on the Process List.
