6.0 i haven't seem much difference in it or older versons apart from it scans slightly faster and no useless hyper scan crap but.. a big difference..

unknown initial value scan type doesn't work it will come up with a error saying "scan error" i can't explain it any more because -.- that's all it says so something is broken inside cheat engine 6.0 maybe you already know about this dark byte and you are working on it and it will be fixed in 6.1 idk but the fact is even if people wanted 6.0 so badly it wasn't ready to be downloaded if unknown initial value is broken

create a c:\scanresults folder
then rightclick it, properties, securities tab
Add the administrators group and give it write access

now set ce's scanfolder to c:\scanresults , restart ce and see if that helps

and then set the scanfolder in ce's settings manually to "c:\scanresults\"

but make sure you give it write permission for the administrator account

my pc was built from parts at a store not bought from a manufactor so anything i do on my windows account is as admin because i am the admin the other account is in safe mode the offical admin stuff

unlike my laptop IT SAYS my current account is admin..but trying to do stuff with spybot or so on says i need to be admin to do it so clearly my laptop (from dicksmiths store but made by toshiba) toshiba fails and somehow made their self admin for all their laptops

but dw.. i found what you told me to do even though you didn't give anough info i did it right i will try again see if unknown thing works now

unknown initial value works now no more error

Usually it is a good idea to read the help file where this kind of info is added.

If someone doesn't have enough memory to make a full "unknown initial value" scan, these tricks might help.

1. Use fast scan. Usually the games are using Float or 4 bytes anyway.
2. Change the scanning range.
3. And try to use a search criteria that will result in throwing out as many junk as possible. Like do not search for unknown and then unchanged value because most values will be unchanged anyway.
Also, usually there is more increasing value than decreasing value so if You have the luxury of choice, try to decrease the value and search for decreased values.
