Maybe I should post this in gamehacking. . . oh well Smile

I've been searching the site for a dictionary explaining the AA script for CE. But i've come up empty handed, anyone else know a thread I don't? or feel like writing down the simple definitions of the code?

Thanks for any help.

The help file of CE has a list of all CE specific AA instructions. As for general ASM instructions, just use google and You will find tons of it.

Geri pretty much hit it dead on, but let me explain a bit more simply. Auto-assemble is largely based off of assembly language. Assembly is an ultra-low level programming language used for dealing directly with the CPU. The only lower level "language" there is is actual machine code (ones and zeros).

It allows you to tell the computer extremely simple commands such as basic math functions, memory manipulation, etc. It's entirely possible to create full-fledged programs completely out of assembly. It's a very complex language but it's also well documented on many websites that can be found through google. So first you should practice programming in assembly, and then apply that knowledge to auto-assemble.

Okay, thanks guys. I really didn't know any of that about assembly. For some reason I thought it was unique to CE. To make it simpler to edit game attributes without learning a full language. . . I really need to research things thoroughly before going into it. . .
