|
|
Just wondering if it's possible to create a Trainer using Cheat Engine that can alter the speed of a game depending on what hotkey is pressed.
Like holding F key makes it run at 50% speed, holding G key makes it run at 10% speed.
Many thanks |

There is no option for it. But maybe DB will say something different. _________________

Injecting a dll is possible with ce's trainer, but for the speedhack you have to hook the speed apis yourself
To have it automated by use of the GenerateApiHookScript function the disassembler unit/class needs to be added to the standalone trainer as well (raising it with another 300 kb)
In that case the trainer grows to over 1 MB, and there it's just easier to use the full Cheat Engine with a cheat table
Sure, you could hardcode the overwritten bytes, but that will limit you to one OS only (a vista hook won't work for xp) _________________

Thanks for the responses But wow Dark Byte, I didn't understand that at all xD Except that I won't be able to do it (my programming knowledge seems basic, i'd love to learn more though). Thanks again ^^ |

Probably if someone has enough skills to use the speedhack, there has to be enough skills to start CE and attach it to the process too. Not that hard, but some guys are just preferring to use the CE trainers instead of CE. _________________

| What do you mean by "attach it to the process"? |

I mean to attach CE to the program before You can do anything with it. When You need select it from the process list. For most of the beginners, this is the first part when they give up. The next point is when they need to load a table. After that is usually simple. Click on the cheat and it is enabled. But most people are giving up on it, they are not interested in these kind of things, they just want to start the trainer, press a hotkey and use the benefits. Not all of us are interested in this kind of stuff. Some guys just want to play and don't die. That is why I create trainers from some of my cheat tables. _________________

| I just wanted to make it into a trainer for my own ease of use, i've been using CE with the Firefox plugincontainer.exe for flash games to change the speed, or modify values to swing the game in my favour. There's just a particular game where being able to change the speed between different values is useful, but it's also troublesome having to change the speed, switch to firefox and press a button at the right time, switching back to CE and change the speed back again using the slider or entering in a value manually, then switching back to firefox and repeating the process. Thanks for the help |

That's true. It is bothering to switch all the time. I have assigned hotkeys for Speedhack. Settings(below the CE logo)->Hotkeys. You can set keys to increase/decrease the speed. Or set keys for a defined speed. You need to switch to CE only until You attach it to the browser, then use the hotkeys to change the speed of the game. _________________

| If you could decompile the code somehow, you can add this feature manually in Visual Basic or even in Notepad++. CE doesn't use a complex code for their trainers. |
