I'm trying to find a pointer to an address with pointerscanner. I tried to scan for max 7 level pointers and it took about an hour to finish. After that I tried to scan for 8 level pointers and I knew that it would take much longer. I let it run for 16 hours and it still hadn't finished yet and I couldn't find the pointer I wanted. The only pointers that work in some way are from xxx.dll module and the others won't work after restarting the game. The problem with the "pointers that work in some way" is that they don't always point to my car's Z location with different cars. I'm doing this in a racing game. I also set the last offset which the pointer has to end with in the scan settings.
Code injection is not a solution since the code accesses other cars and objects on the map too and not only my own car.

Is there a way to scan only for pointers in the xxx.dll module and is there a way to make the pointer scan faster?

edit the commonmodulelist.txt file in ce and add the modules that you don't want in the list
But it will not speed up the pointerscan though, at most it will create a smaller result list (The way it works: It follows the pointer till it encounters a static address, then checks if that address is a module you want or not, and if so, write down the address so it can get written to disk later on and else just continue)

What will speed it up is giving the offets it should end with. Each offset you give will lower the actual number of levels it scans

as for code injection, add in a check to distinguish between your car and that of someone else (compare two or 3 objects with eachother and see if there is a way to distinguish between yours and their and then write the code that checks it, first 4 bytes of the class object are often useful but not sure about a racegame)
