I'd like to know the best method's/tools used to hack a web browser game made in Javascript.
I admit I don't know much about hacking but when I click on "source" under the "view" list in my IE7 and look for some sign of the language used it says | Quote: | | <script type="text/javascript"> |
so I assume that's what it's written in.
The game is Ikariam. The address is http://ikariam.org/. I've already asked for cheats in the multiplayer forum for this game but no one would reply. So I'm going to attempt to make my own. But I need help.
So please, help a fella out.

to inject javascript paste this in your browser
(no quotes)
"javasxcript:alert("hi")"
to like edit a document, <INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME=price1 VALUE=100>
you can edit it using this | Code: | document.forms[0].[name].value = [string]
|
so change it to the price1 case
| Code: | | document.forms[<form number>].price1.value=0 |
so put this in your browser:
| Code: | | javascript:void(document.forms[<form number>].price1.value=0); |
i think it was like that but i am not sure.
but this wont probably help, because javascript is all client sided. and your score/cash or whatever is stored in their database

| Um. Problem with Greasemonkey. It's for Firefox. I'm using IE7. I've had too many problems with FF to switch to it permenately.
