|
|
Well, i need a new laptop. A few people suggested getting the M11x, since it's portable and is capable of many things. I'm a gamer, so being able to run most of my games on at least medium would be nice. I'm also a photographer, so the portability should be nice so that i can take it around with me and view my pictures on the go.
Is it all worth it though? What do you guys think about the laptop? Also, should i get the Intel core 2 duo version, or the i5 version? Would there be THAT much of a difference? Could i still play most FPS games on medium with the Core 2 duo?
Thanks in advance!

Alternatively,
although bad drivers under window would piss the shit out of you.
there's two version of M11x, the old one does not feature i5 and have quality issue on the hinge, which is what i think bestbuy is selling.
Also check out those new laptops are CES, there's one samsung with i5, gtx 430M with 4gbddr3 with the price of $699.

Wow that sounds good. Could you find me a link of it? How many inches is it? I was looking for one that was not so big, so it would be easily portable with lots of battery life.

You aren't gonna find a 'portable' gaming system with lots of battery life. And you aren't gonna be even playing Minecraft on the M11x without lag. A 1.6 GHz processor is not gonna play tetris at full fps. And no, you will not get a good gaming ssytem for under 1300.
Gaming Standards:
2.40GHz Processor
4GB RAM
1GB Video Card
Find that in a laptop and you can game : D
If you want to game, my advice is to get an iPad. lolololollol

It's split into this.
Pick two:
(partial lol trying to game on any form of mobile device anyway) Gaming Ability.
Long Battery Life (Over 2 hours with medium-low stress).
Available for under 1200.
Tomshardware was known to be bias back in the day.

^ Remember bootcamp? | a mac with even close hardware to the core2duo would cost twice as much. Don't kid yourself.

Protip, is 2011.
There's an app for that.
Now introducing SWITCHABLE GRAPHIC, WHERE YOU CAN SWITCH YOUR HEAVY GPU TO INTEGRATED SHIT WITH TWO KEYS! REVOLUTIONARY SINCE 2009
pc games aren't really that demanding anymore, you can blame casualfags for that. Even a shitty 420GTM, 335GTM can handle shitty games fairly well at 30-40fps at medium setting, and who the fuck plays game without a charger?
