All in all, being circumcised makes virtually NO DIFFERENCE, and I can speak to this with some authority.
Unlike most of my contemporaries who were routinely circ'ed at birth, I spent 53 years in the natural state. I was somewhat attached to my foreskin (pun intended) and reluctant to give it up, even in deference to my wife's wishes.
Last year, however, I finally agreed to go under the urologist's knife. I was initally apprehensive, largely because I'd read so much about decreased sexual sensation in men circ'ed as adults. My fears, I'm pleased to report were unfounded.
Seven months post-op, intercourse is more enjoyable than ever. With no foreskin to get in the way, my glans experiences friction with the vaginal wall going both directions, both in and out. Since the operation, I also seem to have significantly increased staying power!
The downsides? Well, the surgeon removed part of my frenulum along with my foreskin, and I kind of miss the erogenous sensation it provided. Also, becasue I was circumcised quite tightly, masturbation now requires the use of a lubricant . . but it's a small price to pay for overall increased satisfaction and improved appearance. My wife is happy, and so am I. |
