| What are some methods of creating a hack/exploitation to set your x/y position in a game?

Some games are very stupid and even though they are multiplayer games, the info is stored on the client's side.
If not, maybe You can try packet editing.

Here is some tutorial about the few thousands that are about finding co-ordinates:
http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=519072
(Don't know if it is good, I didn't read it).
Basically, You search for x,y and maybe z coordinates.
If You have found it, You can try to mess with them.

I was actually banned from PMO for X/Y position hacking last week.
As an example, stand in a corner, Move backwards, scan unknown initial value, then move backwards again, scan changed value, continue and the results will narrow down, I usually stop moving, and scan unchanged value to remove all those values that change that aren't related to moving. If you're still getting too many results, or want to speed up the process, move to the corner you were in, and scan "Same as first scan".
When you've got a few values, like 200 or less, move them down, freeze them all, try and move, you'll probably be able to yet you'll get jumped back to where you were instantly, I was busy hacking Sherwood dungeon with it's X/Y/Z positions, I could get the amount of values I got down to 81.
All of the values changed when I moved, but they didn't all freeze my X/Y positions when I froze them, only some of them, I then froze about 20 at a time, If my X/Y position froze when I froze those values, then I unfroze them one at a time until I found it, If none of them froze my Position, I deleted those 20 and moved on.
After taking some of the above advice you'll surely find the X/Y position, You can then use it to teleport.
