I do not agree with the statement made by OP. More often than not, consoles posses the latest in gaming technology, at a reasonable price. Even if the argument is made that over time, the computer parts that can be combined to rival the consoles specifications will be discounted to a reasonable price, so will the console be discounted over time. A valid example of this is the Playstation 3 gaming console, which was roughly $700 dollars on release, but now costs less than half of that.

So by stating that a PC is the best console, because it does not follow the specifications unique to a console (and therefore is not a console), is invalid. As a matter of fact, it would make a PC worse than a console, because it contains unneeded specifications that normally come with a console. Like an OS build for more than just gaming, with unnecessary processes running on the background, possibly deteriorating the gaming experience by influencing the performance of the system.

All in all I'm disappointed in OPs' statement. It doesn't seem to have an angle of validity to it.
