So I have this hard drive and I was wondering is there a way to make it an external hard drive? Can you guys give me a link to an enclosure that will work with it?

Any 3.5" SATA external enclosure will work.
Search terms: 3.5" SATA Hard drive enclosure
The plugs only go in their allocated slots one way. If you can't work out how to do it by yourself, I suggest you stop now and get someone who does it for a living to help you. (Local computer shop?)

How do I know my hard drive will fit with 3.5' and not 2.5'?
Oh also, how do I get it to start working as a USB flash drive? What do I have to configure for it to work after I installed it into the enclosure?

So I don't have to configure anything after I installed it in the enclosure?
All I have to do is plug in the USB and start transferring like a flash drive?

You cannot go out and buy any enclosure and expect it to work.
The type of interface on the hard drive needs to match the one on the enclosure.

He said he has a SATA HDD |
And the one you picked is IDE.
Probably a mistake, I believe...

Was about to suggest these so any drive can get a extreme boost in transfer rate due to USB 3.0
And he might need this
USB 2.0 480Mb/s
USB 3.0 5Gb/s
