Great game.
Everyone's played an RPG that involves a king of some sort that sends you, the hero, on a mission to let's say destroy an evil wizard or defend the city from hoardes of monsters, but rarely has anyone played a game where YOU are the king.
Being the king, you have to build up your cities and stock your markets with health potions and armors. Your hero will fight monsters and do quests for you, and with the money you reward them they can buy items from your shops. THere are up to 12 classes of heroes you can train, and each specialized structure trains up to 3 units, yet I don't think there's a cap on structures.
The monsters spawn from "lairs", and in some cases these lairs cannot be destroyed. These special cases include sewers, which spawn near your base if it grows too big, and cemetaries that spawn near your base if a hero dies. These areas should be controlled with guard towers and guards to ensure the safety of your city.
this game is not a traditional RTS. It's actually more of a city-builder, because you don't have direct control over the characters. To really get them to do anything other than patrol you're going to have to pay your heroes.
Anyways, go get it now.
EDIT:
Also 4 player lan. :0
