you took his property without his consent. he asked for it back and you still didn't return it. you should have returned it when he made the announcement asking for it back. still not too late. just take it to the office and tell them you found this somewhere in the school on the day you return it and remembered an announcement about someone losing a phone yesterday.

If I return it now, I get expelled. Why? I restored the iPhone, obviously marks down that I had intent to keep it. Mind you this school is 30,000$ a year and we already payed half. A bit too late now, just wanted to see what other people thought about it.

how can they prove you found it the day it was taken or the day after?
personally, i'd keep it at this point.

how do they know you deleted all the data? remember, you're telling them you found it the day after on the school campus. someone else could have taken it home, deleted the data, left it somewhere randomly on the school campus. just because it sounds like you took it, doesn't mean they can prove you took it. they may question you and it could be more trouble than it's worth but if you stick to your story you'll be fine. but i wouldn't actually do it. i'm just saying you can.

There was once a faggot who decide to return a iPhone to a normal person.
he almost got raped by 10 seniors on the next day(the faggot woke up next day, 5miles away from city, got all his shit stolen, but he's injury was serve enough to be declared "disabled". Now he sits here all day as a exchange student and mindlessly waste his time on forums.
Fucking moral, how do they work?
