Alright I found an iPhone 4 at my school. (Worth around 300-400 bucks). I know whose it is, and I know it is good morale to give it back; but what are you guys' opinions?

I've lost my phone; and I've learned my lesson. Don't leave it anywhere, check your pockets. If you're wearing sweats and have it in your pocket; it might fall. I learned my lesson there and I haven't lost my phone (or anything) since. But It is quite too late to give it back anyway, I just want opinions from here.. If I turn it in now I'll be expelled for stealing, since at lunch they announced he lost it and I went home and formatted anyhow.

No you wouldn't get in trouble at all if you turned it in, it doesn't matter how long you took to do it. Point is, it's not hard to not lose something like a phone, which you pretty much carry around with you everywhere. If someone does lose their phone, clearly they didn't care enough to keep good track of it.

It's a misplaced object that very clearly has an owner still is found, it's suppose to be returned.. You know who the owner is, just because it isn't in a location that the owner knew about doesn't mean it's no longer theirs.
