I know enough about computer that i grounded myself before touching any internal parts I also had the power supply unplugged etc after i had finished i put it all back together and turned it on and now I am getting a beep error I tried Googleing it but it only came up with 12 beep and mine just continues to beep I have an msi-k9vgm-v and my bios is phoenix i think im not sure what version though
thanks guys

Does it have specific intervals in the beeps? Eg 3 real fast beeps then 2 slower beeps?

uhh i would say all long beeps after awhile they kinda just sound like a effing beep lol
its just a beep for like 1 or 2 seconds then nothing for like 1 or 2 seconds so on so forth and i haven't heard it stop i just turned it off at 15

If you have a video card, remove it, and try to reseat it. If when you turn on your computer you can see the bios screen disregard removing the vid card.
What model motherboard, or brand and model computer.
When you opened the case, was the monitor still plugged in? It's always a good idea to disconnect the monitor cable from the computer when you open the case.

Make sure you put all the RAM back properly.

Also check your mainboard manual, usually there's a section dedicated to what the different beeps means..
hypotechical example -- short beeps - memory failure, 3 long - gfx failure.. etc etc

Safko, I thought of that, and downloaded the manual from MSI for his board, there was nothing in there describing the POST patterns, only what to do after successful POST.
