Made a portal from my base to hell, and made another portal in hell

There is a desert area right above this.

You think you've got it bad? I went back through my portal which I assumed would take me to my base, instead it took to me to a random fucking cave.

Same exact fucking thing that happened to me. Made a temple with a nice study, a portal, named it the portal nexus, waked in portal, walked out, now I'm lost.

I dug underground in hell and made a portal to get out.

I then walked about 30 blocks away in the normal world and made another portal.

I went through it and got tp'd to the old one ;-;
