i can't compile visual basic cuz of my version... can anyone send me the setup in an e-mail strata_guy at yahoo.com

Uhm.. you need to give us more information if you are wanting help. And no one is going to email you to help you when you can just post here.

If you are using anything that isn't .NET for VB, just stop using it as it's completely unsupported and outdated.

Visual Studio 2010 is released now as well which you can get the express edition at:
http://www.microsoft.com/express/Downloads/#2010-Visual-Basic
