In a certain game I play, I'm trying to find the pointer of a 2-byte address. I find the address, try to find out what writes to the address, but the game crashes as soon as the debugger is attached. Pointerscanner also doesn't find the address.

What can I do to find it?

an emulator or 16-bit game?

Not an emulator.
the game is called Rose Online, and I'm playing it with the 16bit graphics option enabled if that matters at all.

I got the pointerscanner working, but I can't get the pointercount below like 700. I get the address to change(by restarting the game) find the address again, rescan the pointerscanner memory, but eventually, addresses stop being eliminated.

try doing a rescan with a delay (e.g 20 seconds) and then before it starts go play the game for a while minute.

And then just pick any one of them. (It's not like there is only one path to a specific address)
