It tells me "incomplete installation, 42".

Anyone else getting that?

Try right click -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game cache...

Wait, actually steam support says it's a known problem and to be patient while they fix it. Nevermind.

Happened to me when I installed l4d2 when it came out after I pre-ordered it
Then I had to reinstall the whole game.
