Hi, I got a few question about it.
I am looking for a rooter Use wire and wireless technology the wireless is for the Itouch, Wii and DS XL and the wire for the 2 desktop computer.
Both of the computer run with an Eternet 10/100 card But I plan to buy a rooter 10/100/1000.
I wanna know If the eternet card can mess with the connection speed and blow up.
I wanna know what you think about it.

Most rooter these days have both wire and wireless
No, the rooter will not blow up if your ethernet are 10/100 and the rooter are 10/100/1000.
The iPod Touch uses regular wifi just like any originary machine, so you can just connect to it, but not too sure about the Wii and DS consoles.
Lastly it's not spell "rooter", don't know who you heard that from?
It's spell router.

Well I am not afraid for the router but much more for our old computer with our 10/100 eternet will it work together?
Also I wanna know which model use wire and wireless and can support over 4 wire connection and 6 wireless in same time.
I know nothing about the LAN router and stuff like that All I know is how to build a computer.

A gigabit router is backwards compatible with a computer that has standard ethernet.
Almost all consumer based routers will have the options of both wired and wireless.
The latest wifi is 802.11n
You should be able to connect all of your machines to a single router.

Newer ethernet cards that support the 10/100/1000 standard will not hurt any device that supports only the lesser standards. The only drawback to using this setup is that your network speed will only be as great as your slowest device, IE if your slowest device (meaning network speed) is 10/100 you will not see that 1000 speed.
Something to keep in mind when setting up a network like this is range of the wireless signal. Some things to keep in mind are construction materials used inside the house, and also distance. A wireless signal going through a 6 inch wall shortens the signal, I ran into an issue where I had to pass a wifi signal through a 12 inch wall, the wall was only drywall and plaster on one side the wall void and drywall and plaster on the other. Using a wireless AP I could not get a signal from less than 15 feet away if standing on the other side of that wall. Keeping this in mind if you wish to roam freely with your touch you will need repeaters of some sort. I have had limited success with wireless repeaters, I have gotten much better results with repeaters that are wired into the network and just repeat the wireless signal. I just recently setup a wireless network in 6500 sq ft home using 1 wireless router, and 3 d-link dwl-7100ap's. I get full coverage over the entire house, and the home owner was wow'd because you could stream youtube videos and not lose signal moving from ap to ap. Yeah I know I didn't bother to mention buffering. Even still the setup worked great.

Good I will take a look for that the wireless will be used much more on the first floor.
I have an Old router D-Link DI-704 Is there a way to plug an antena for wireless connection?
