Nah, can't stand the stuff. But there are some screamo bands with some pretty nice instrumental stuff (Oceano for example) that I like.

I don't like straight screamo, for me it has to be broken up with nice vocal melodies.
Which is why I love the genre Melodic Death Metal.

Hell yeah! Ensiferum all the way!
I like Ensiferum, Candlemass, Nirvana, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom, Rammstein, Oomph!, Megaherz and stuff like that. Not really hardcore screamo, but close to it.

It's ashame too, a lot of 'screamo' bands can actually play decent music, then once the "singing" starts, it's ruined.

I agree. Sure people have their own tastes, and their own favorite music, but I would rather listen to music I can actually understand. What pisses me off more is people listening to hard metal just because it used to be "in". The music isn't soothing, but I guess it's music to listen to when you're angry or rather frustrated. |

There's much better music (in my opinion) that you can listen to when you're angry or frustrated. Rage Against the Machine for example (although they're awesome all the time, regardless of your mood).

It's all about preference I guess. I personally wouldn't either. I'd probably listen to some dubstep music to turn my mood into a more hyper mood, or at least lessen the stress and anger. |

Oh yeah it's definitely preference. I can't remember the last time I was angry though, so I can't say what I'd listen to.

I like things like trivium(Ember/Ascendancy)/alexisonfire but I hate the whiny screamo like Hawthorn heights.
There is just so much power behind it, it gets me hyped up. |

This is so true.
I've only heard one good screamo song. Some of them seem to just scream for the sake of being "screamo". |
