Cheat Engine

I have been playing with cheat engine for awhile now i understand it just fine but am still a noob in some areas. Everytime i try to locate where the say gold or XP or anything really it seems to not exsist i can change the values just fine but when i log out and back in the address has changed. I noticed this in a few popcap games and others as well of my being unable to locate the pointer. So im curious if this is my own doing or perhaps im not looking at it correctly. I am also having some issues understanding which of these i would need to use to get the desired effect

6fd88aae - mov esi,[esp+0c]
6fd88ab2 - test esi,esi
6fd88ab4 - mov eax,[eax+04]
6fd88ab7 - je ordinal10771+20f
6fd88ab9 - mov dl,[esi+05]


which of these i should use im not sure i know one of them is what i should be using in the hex code but this is the one part of pointers i didnt understand

You need to work with the highlighted code.

The changing address is because of DMA:

You can also try to use code injection, there are some tutorials for that too.

The tut he put in helps doesnt explain everything but thats what the forum is for and i have to say thank you to everyone who helps the noobs like myself ill put some ct's up after i get the hang of it
