Cheat Engine

The game is GTA 4 Ver. 1.0.4.0
Just got it and wanted to see if i could mess with it.
Nope, i Failed
Now i have used the memory tools in cheat engine before
but as i have yet to see an answer i can make any sense of on
here.
I am having issues with the debugger crashing the game
it doesn't give an error code the game just freezes completely
I understand this seems to be an issue with Games for windows games
This is the first time i have ever tried this type of game.
I just want to know in Lay-mans terms how to get passed this.

To be more to the point i am trying to figure out how to make a health trainer. Every time i check to see what accesses the memory i am looking into the game freezes. I would like to know a way around this particular issue, and yes i have read stuff in the tutorials section but i dont understand half of it.

Yeah Im looking to make one duh.
Mostly to see if i can do it
and partly since i cant find any that actually work.

That would be the xlive.dll crashing you.
You'l need GTA 4 xliveless so you can use the debugger. Google for it. This disables online play too. Once you create your health cheat, delete the xliveless.dll before trying the second thing needed..

To run the cheat so the game doesnt crash, see THIS post by Psych. This will disable the memory integrity check.
Basically what i had to do for a different gfwl game.
If you're unable to understand his tut, google your xlive version for a memory integrity check bypass. Most versions are floating about. Even this forum had some.
