Mirrors edge is fucked up?

When I play mirrors edge for the first time, it plays the intro movie, and then I get this shitty pixelized city with some cowboy talking in the background. AFter he's done talking it just hangs there.

I fixed it. And there wasn't a cowboy, it's just what I thought he sounded like.

if I remember correctly on mirror's edge the first thing you do is follow an ugly girl jumping thorugh roofs.
