I felt the earthquake that happened about 2 months ago, just north of Lae. It was a magnitude 6.9. I noticed it because my laptop screen started to rock, then I could feel it. The water in glasses was shaking and stuff.
And just yesterday the dual quake off the coast of East New Britain province.
| Quote: | | Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (AHN) – A magnitude 6.9 earthquake followed by a 7.3 magnitude temblor struck off Papua New Guinea on Sunday but no tsunami warning was issued and there was no immediate report of damage. |
I felt this one quite a lot more, and was surprised when the second one came. There was rattling of objects and some precariously stacked books fell over.
Have you ever felt an earthquake?

A couple times. When I was younger I used to sit on the top part of the couch that you're supposed to rest your head on, and there was an earthquake so I ended up falling backwards into the window screen. That was pretty funny. There was also two recently, one in my house, and I could feel the ground moving, very uncomfortable. The second one I was in an office building five stories up and it was literally moving the building, so I was scared shitless. Everything worked out though.

I grew up in Asia when I was young and I've felt earthquakes from time to time, but not too serious.
Recently as I've went back to visit that place I was woken up in the middle of the night as if someone was shaking my bed and saw all the items rocked violently from side to side.
Man that was intense!
