Well, I don't know if I'm just outdated or if Cheat Engine is just patched by all the recent games or what.
You know how you can simply search the amount of money you have ingame or health, then go do something to change it to get the correct value? Lately that isn't working. The value you enter into the Cheat Engine just changes back after you buy or do something ingame and I'm sure they have no protection. There's also the case lately with the games that Mana or Health has 2 or 3 values.
I'm pretty much a newb to cheat engine, so no need to flame, just inform me about things. Also, the games I tried them on that I can recall are the recent Hero: 108 Online and Divine Soul(By Outspark, which is in closed beta but everyone is welcome to try it because no key is required, just an account).

It never worked on online games
The fact that the games we're talking about are new and don't have protection doesn't change things. The value is still server sided.

Only online games it works on are those written by retards that think it's a normal thing to store health on the client...
The only thing that does have a higher chance of working sometimes is the speedhack (but that is still easily patched when they start looking for it)

As said already, majority of things on Online games will be server sided. But, it highly depends on the game developers and the game itself. Not all games will be the same. Things that I've seen before client sided on some MMOs:
- Chat Filter
- Comboing
- Fall Damage
- Position (xyz)
- Speed
- Score
- Skill cool-down
If you are playing an MMO style game, you can develop a bot that only reads the memory of the game and sends various commands to mimic human play style. Which in almost every case requires no writing to memory. (Some games may have protections to prevent various things with botting though.)

Oh.. I see..
I assumed it worked for all the online games because I remember learning the basics of Cheat Engine for that old game MS.
Well.. Looks like I'll have to go back to researching different things; any tips on where I should start or a program? I'll definitely have to try some of the ones Wiccaan mentioned!
Thanks to everyone that already answered.

That's the current problem I'm having, most of the values ingame are having visual changes instead of actually changing. I didn't see any Anti-Hack loading up and I was able to connect with the Cheat Engine perfectly fine.
