Yeah, they have those on almost every traveling carnival here.
I know this guy who is great at those things.
With 8 euros, he got a PSP, a pocketbike, and something else, forgot what it was. (one try is 2 euros)
But the PSP was a fake. It doesn't have all the functions a real PSP has.
And the pocketbike already broke after 1 year.
I myself got some extremely rare Yu-Gi-Oh cards from one of those machines, but they were all fakes as well.
But the brother of the father of a guy I know works at one of those things, and he told me that the maximum chance to get one of them is 1 on 50.
First, you have to get the hook on it correctly, which is already hard.
Second, there is a counter on them, which controls the strength of the hook. And the counter only makes the hook strong enough to hold your prize once every 50 times. So those 49 other times, even if you get the hook on it correctly, you won't win.
Don't think it's like that on all the machines, but probably most of them.

This.
Stacker takes a skill, but it's not mad hard, or total luck. The prizes are nice too. DS Lites, iPods, etc.

Yes. I've also seen that every single one I've played with has legit prizes. It's also not like above claw machine, where there's a 1 of 50 chance that'll lift the prize up because it purely relies on skill.

It does, but I've heard that Stacker is designed to purposely jump at the last block (ie. you CAN'T win) until people haven't won anything a couple hundred times. -.-;
