Heya, a newcomer hails you all!

To business...

I am not looking for health, ammo skills, unlocks, no.

I am just looking for a field of vision that does not cause me nausea.

Some background:
In mass effect 2, it seems there are all kinds of fields of vision stored, and all are floats. There is the current, fov, the default fov, the aim fov, the sniper, the works. Console hacking breaks all fovs, ini hacking impossible. Plus, cheat engine is more fun and educational for a novice programmer like me.

To make a long story short, I can rather easily find, in a trial and error kind of way, where the normal, default, no-zoom-no-nothing fov is stored. Its a default value of 70.

True enough, if you search for float 70.00000, USUALLY somewhere in between 0E000000 and 10000000, there is a pair of addresses that end in 60 and 84 respectively, one after the other. The ...84 is just a copy of ..60 and changes along with it.
If you change the first, the "default" field of vision changes, without breaking zooming in et.c. . It works like a charm. You just change it and the result is what I need.

Of course, as soon as you reload a save, this address is no longer valid.

I tried to scan for pointers with a few different settings (levels up to 10, structsize up to 65536) but I cannot find a good combination of values. I either get too many pointers(once ended up with two 25 gigs file and no way to sift through them as I ran out of space), or too few (empty list, or 10 pointers that just broke on reloading a save)

I search the whole of memory (extra thank you for the new pointer engine darkbyte which makes these possible), and uncheck the "stop transversing paths that...etc" because else I cannot find anything. I know I am still a bit hit and miss, but can someone give me a few good settings as a guideline?

For example, what can I expect, level 5 or level 15?

What is a good range of structsizes to check into?

Obviously, the more the better, but with a truly big structsize I cannot go more than a few levels deep...

I did get to a pointelist when sifting through which I got a few hundred thousand hits that more or less work, but I am still at the more or less part. Sometimes all of them point correctly, sometimes half of them, and sometimes none at all.

All help appreciated. And thanks for the extremely good work darkbyte.

first thing for the pointerscanner: Disable the option that says "Stop traversing a pointer when a static has been found"
as for level, try 5 or 6, and a structsize of 2048 is usually good enough, else try 4096

also, you must not read through the pointerlist manually. Use rescan pointer.

How did you manage to change the values of the floats ?
When i try they just change back to default 70, and if i freeze them to something else the picture flashes brief as if trying to change, but reverts back again.. Mad
